THE QUIET MAN

Hello and welcome to this website.  These paintings and prints have been brought to you by Irish born internationally renowned artist TJ Miles.  Since childhood 'The Quiet Man' has featured heavily in his life.  His father John St.Clair Taylor Miles was a lifelong fan of the movie that captured so well the romance and imagination of an idyllic Ireland long since forgotten. 

TJ Miles has been a professional artist for over 15 years exhibiting and selling his artworks and paintings throughout numerous countries in Europe and beyond

This series of paintings based on his favourite movie of all time is a labour of love that has taken some time to compile.  Indeed, given the rich quantity of material he has gleaned, not only from the movie, but from fan clubs, aficionados and other like minded romantics, it seems there may be no end to the possibilities for quiet man based paintings in his own inimitable, iconic style.

Step back in time and meet up with unforgettable characters such as Sean Thornton, Mary Kate Danaher, Red Will Danaher and Michaeleen Flynn among others, for a nostalgic look at an Ireland that lives forever in the 1920's and 30's.
